- Technician name and mobile phone number
- Employer/company name
- Content of SMS messages sent to and received from the Service, including troubleshooting queries and diagnostic responses
- Message timestamps and delivery status
We do not collect precise location data, payment information from individual technicians, or any information beyond what is necessary to operate the Service.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information collected to:
- Deliver SMS troubleshooting guidance, safety alerts, and code compliance messages to enrolled technicians
- Verify opt-in consent and manage opt-out requests
- Maintain and improve the accuracy and reliability of the Service
- Provide customer support to subscribing companies and their technicians
- Comply with legal, regulatory, and carrier requirements related to SMS messaging (including CTIA and A2P 10DLC standards)
3. SMS Messaging Program
By opting in to receive text messages from Code Carl, you agree to receive automated troubleshooting, safety, and compliance-related SMS messages from Down South Electric LLC. Message frequency varies based on job-site activity. Message and data rates may apply.
Mobile information collected in connection with this SMS program will never be shared or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your mobile number and message content are used solely to operate and support the Code Carl Service as described in this policy.
You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. You will receive one final confirmation message, and no further messages will be sent unless you re-subscribe. For help, reply HELP or contact us using the information below.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:
- With the subscribing employer/company that enrolled you, for the purpose of administering the Service

- To protect the safety, rights, or property of Down South Electric LLC, our users, or the public

We retain technician contact information and message records for as long as necessary to operate the Service, support enrolled companies, and meet legal and carrier compliance obligations. You may request deletion of your information by contacting us at the information below, subject to any records we are required to retain by law.
6. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children’s Privacy
The Service is intended for use by field technicians who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
